10 Minutes With Cody Kovats

Cody Kovats brings a builder’s mindset to RedCloud, leaning into the kind of operational challenges that reward both curiosity and precision. As an Operations Project Manager, he’s been shaping a new Salesforce framework that gives the recruiting team clearer structure, smarter data connections, and day‑to‑day visibility that actually matches how people work. His transition from college to full‑time life has been grounded in routine, community, and a return to Seattle’s familiar seasons, all of which mirror the steady, thoughtful way he approaches problemsolving. Get to know Cody below in our latest 10 Minutes With interview.
What do you enjoy most or find especially interesting about your current project/role at RedCloud?
What I've enjoyed most is building something from the ground up that adds real value for our team. I've been working on a Salesforce project that gives our recruiting process better structure and visibility. Much of the work has been figuring out how the data should connect and what the team needs to see day to day, which has pushed me to think about both the technical build and the bigger picture at the same time.
How has this experience compared to what you expected as you transitioned from school into full-time work?
I’ve lived in the Seattle area most of my life, but I spent the last four years at the University of Arizona, so the weather has been the biggest change. I haven't been here through a full fall and winter in a while, but I'm really looking forward to it. Beyond that, a more consistent schedule has been a nice change from school and has made it easier to settle into a routine.
What are you passionate about or enjoy outside of work?
Sports have always been a big part of my life, especially growing up around Seattle teams. With the NFL season back, I'm excited to spend my Sundays watching the Seahawks. I enjoy getting outside and hiking when I can, and I love live music, so going to concerts is one of my favorite things to do.
What's a piece of obsolete technology you still have a soft spot for?
Not exactly obsolete technology, but I keep a running list of notes and random thoughts in the Notes app on my phone. Whenever I have an idea or something I want to remember, it usually ends up there.
Tell us a bit about the team at RedCloud, someone who has helped you out and your initial experience.
The culture at RedCloud has really stood out to me. There's a strong sense of community here, and it's easy to see how much everyone values working together. Whether it's jumping in to help, sharing ideas, or simply checking in, there's a genuine team-first mentality. It's the kind of environment where everyone supports one another and wants to see each other succeed.
