Cutting Time-to-Productivity From 7 Months to 45 Days
A three-phase hiring and onboarding redesign helped a global technology leader scale a specialized team quickly.

THE CHALLENGE
A global technology leader needed to scale a high-growth division with specialized talent. Fragmented onboarding, siloed teams, procurement hurdles, and inconsistent governance slowed every hire. New hires took up to seven months to ramp, administrative overhead was high, and compliance risk was growing.
OUR APPROACH
We used a three-phase approach (Spin-up, Scale-up, Skill-up) built on four pillars: talent optimization, organizational effectiveness, change management, and operational excellence. A current-state analysis found the friction points. We then introduced a transparent hiring framework with pre-hire assessments and integrated workflows, standardized documentation, embedded compliance practices, and added Agile processes and continuous learning to speed ramp-up and reduce turnover risk.
RESULTS
■ Time-to-productivity fell from 7 months to 45 days
■ 54 subject-matter experts onboarded in 67 working days, with cycle time down 40%
■ Over $1.2M in annual labor savings, plus $754K saved through shorter ramp-up and less administrative work
■ 15% fewer audit findings and 25% less reliance on temporary staffing
