The holidays are fast approaching and year-end client projects are getting ready for that final push. This time of year also gets us excited about another annual tradition in our work with the young people of our communities. As part of our ongoing work to empower local kids with access to education and technology, we partner with Toys for Kids - an outstanding local organization who helps children of all socioeconomic backgrounds be better prepared for school and life.
We recently welcomed Matt Little, a Senior Associate focusing on our new Business Solutions and Intelligence team. He’s supporting PowerApps & Power Automate implementation for RedCloud’s clients, as well as developing internal apps, business solutions and processes for the BS&I Practice.
Matt has 10+ years of management consulting experience, and was a Digital Transformation delivery lead for teams of all sizes and a manager of a practice in his past experience. For the past 3 years, Matt has been expanding expertise in and advocating for the adoption of solutions which use Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and the Microsoft Power Platform. In his personal life, he enjoys spending time with his 15-year-old German Shepherd, playing hockey or golf, and entering into the World Series of Poker every summer. Read on to hear about his favorite quarantine activity!
As the world continues to shift in a variety of ways, we stay focused on what RedCloud can do in support of the collective, long-term success of our clients, team, and our community as a whole. This includes adding to our team as our offerings and services evolve. With our exciting news of launching the Business Solutions and Intelligence Practice and earning another spot on the annual Puget Sound Business Journal’s Fastest Growing list, we believe the best is still to come for us! As we adapt to the ongoing dynamics of the pandemic, we look to different ways to make everything happen for our clients and are confident that our new team members will be essential in getting us there.
Do you see yourself on our team? We’d love to meet you! Reach out to us if you’re interested in a role at RedCloud.
Recently our RedCloud team had another opportunity to come together to share best practices, new methodologies, and discuss new opportunities under the umbrella of our newest practice area, Business Solutions and Intelligence. As always, we thoroughly enjoy when our team can connect despite our busy schedules and remote work, bringing ideas to light, sharing in a few laughs, and building team chemistry.
Between online meetings, calls and a steadily flowing inbox each day, it’s easy to zone into the laptop life without taking those much needed breaks to stand up and move. Admittedly, we’re all feeling a little tight in our muscles with our now ‘normal’ work-from-home setups. The kitchen table, or a desk that is a little too low with mismatched chairs, laptops that force our necks at odd angles… we’re using what we have, adapting around our partners, roommates, or kids also working at home. With a remote work set-up down pat at this point, we thought it was time to shake things up a bit all in the name of fun, team connection, and healthy living.
Consultant. A widely used job description with a diverse range of meanings in a rapidly growing industry. More and more companies are seeking to employ the expertise of consultants to bring efficiencies to their projects without the cost associated with new full time employees. This growth of course means an ever-widening landscape of opportunities for professionals who have a bank of skills in their back pockets, even if they’ve never considered moving into a consulting role.
Meet Kim, RedCloud Senior Consultant. With nearly a decade of Microsoft experience and a background in racing, Kim brings a competitive edge to his role at RedCloud. He's goal oriented and strong in analyzing risk vs. reward. We had the chance to (virtually) sit down with him to hear more about his role and his racing career.
We forge ahead, as always! Despite the uncertainties of 2020, our team is moving forward with confidence and an ever-expanding team of pros. With the recent news of our “fastest growing” awards from the Puget Sound Business Journal and Inc. 5000, it’s an exciting time to onboard. Our clients are appreciative of our team’s continued dedication given the new virtual landscape, and we commend all of our employees on a job well done this year.
During 2020, RedCloud has seen a tremendous up-tick in demand for Power Platform and Business Solutions services (Microsoft 365 suite, the Power Platform, Power BI, Dynamics, etc.) with clients seeking to leverage data in new and powerful ways. To this end, we’ve invested in collecting and building RedCloud’s capabilities in this area to better position our firm for the increased market demand.
As we began to look at this trend, we saw an opportunity to maximize our ability to assist clients who’s needs best match our team's strengths. After auditing our team’s existing work in data-driven business solutions, we quickly realized we had a blend of existing intelligence experts, as well as eager minds ready to apply their skills to a burgeoning industry of data analytics and intelligence.
Prior to the rapid impacts of the pandemic which arrived in early 2020, our firm - like many companies in the Seattle area - was on track to have a record year, fueled by strong results on behalf of our clients, a growing team of professionals who brought their best every day, and a booming regional economy in need of the services RedCloud specializes in.
Of course the personal, economic, and societal fallout from the onset of the pandemic has touched everyone in one way or another - some far worse than others from a medical and economic perspective. It is safe to say we are all still navigating the pandemic every week, or every day.
