Happy New Year! With some time off during the holidays, our team members had a chance to dive into the all new “RedCloud Recipes” cookbook, released just before the holiday season in an effort to bring our team together through shared experiences in the kitchen.
RedCloud Recipes features favorite treasures from the kitchens of our team members. We’re so used to connecting in the office and sharing stories about work and clients, and this gives us a new way to get to know each other. The ongoing reality of remote-work has flipped our ability to collaborate and create those key bonds with teammates upside down, so this scrumptious effort was a unique way to end the year on a high note with a creative, new idea.
Family recipes are often passed down through generations, and food traditions can be an exciting way to learn more about a fellow team member, their culture, heritage and background. When we had this idea, we knew it was gold!
What recipes made it into the book of favorites? A wide variety! The submissions feature entrees, desserts, appetizers and even cocktail concoctions. Each RedCloud team member was gifted a physical printed book to keep (and use!).
During our exciting virtual employee party with Chef Tom Douglas, he announced his favorite from RedCloud Recipes. Congratulations to Karen Middaugh, on her winning family recipe, "Warren's Ribs - Made Just the Way You Like Them". We’re sharing the recipe here so you can create it, too!
