You may have read or heard about our special community project this year, a full year of support to Solid Ground’s Broadview Shelter & Transitional Housing as part of our ongoing dedication to non-profit partners focused on education and empowering the success of local youth. While the program kicked off with our donation of new technology to support remote learning during Covid (tablets, Microsoft Office software and mic headsets), we’re also challenging our team to get creative and continue sharing the love by showing support all throughout 2021. And, we’re thrilled to say that the support continues!
We’re excited to kick off Q2 with news of RedCloud’s acquisition of BuzzBee, a strategic technology marketing and communications firm based in Seattle. BuzzBee has more than two decades of experience developing strategy and implementing communications and marketing plans for some of the industry's best brands such as Amazon, EMC, Microsoft, Intel, HP, AMD, Concur, adding a strong set of skills and capabilities to RedCloud’s existing offerings.
Core to who we are, no matter what the world is throwing at us, RedCloud’s community efforts always stay in focus. We believe that a healthy company thrives only when embedded in a healthy community, helping those around us, especially during major times of need. One of our long time community partners, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound (BBBSPS), has continued fostering 1 to 1 “Big” and “Little” relationships even despite the pandemic.
You may be familiar with our previous work and support for the UW Foster School of Business - but this year marks a new exciting endeavor! The UW Consulting and Business Development Center (CBDC) is holding a Business Management Consulting Program all via Zoom, and RedCloud is excited to help out by providing a team of mentors.
We’re giving Jenny a warm RedCloud welcome! New to our team - but not the industry, being hired in December 2020, she’s already off to a great start and her enthusiasm shines in this interview. With a degree from University of Washington and nearly a decade of client relationship experience under her belt, her consulting expertise is high-level. In her free time, she serves as a Humane Society volunteer, aligning with RedCloud’s values of giving back to the community.
As you may have seen, in partnership with Toys For Kids, RedCloud is providing a full year of support to Solid Ground’s Broadview Shelter & Transitional Housing - in a few different ways. In December, RedCloud delivered new technology for their facility and during 2021 we’re continuing with ongoing career support for residents with time and expertise from RedCloud team members.
With a few warmer, sunny days, new projects underway and plenty of positive trends towards face-to-face collaboration later in 2021, at RedCloud we’re feeling the strength of our team more than ever. As we adapted during Covid, we truly formed savvy and efficient work methods that kept momentum up on client service and our services top notch.
Read on to meet the next cadre of new RedCloud team members and hear more about their areas of expertise - ranging from Games Marketing to Workforce Management experience and even Process Architecture.

During 2021 our team is so excited to offer yearlong support to Solid Ground’s Broadview Shelter & Transitional Housing through donation of new technology such as tablets and mic headsets, but also by sharing the time and expertise of our employees. As part of our ongoing community efforts, RedCloud’s recruiting team will hold a monthly career day with Broadview to offer in-kind career coaching, job searching assistance and employment support for parents to re-enter the workforce. Knowing that the residents of the shelter are going through the toughest times of their lives, we’re grateful that we can offer our professional expertise and wisdom to them to help guide them in a positive direction.
Meet David and Sydney, two of RedCloud’s latest interns!
David dove right in, the RedCloud way, using all that he has learned so far at the University of Washington at the Foster School of Business to help with both research and client facing projects. We’re confident after working with David that he’ll not only nail his next position in the consulting industry, but will also graduate in the Spring of 2022 as a true asset to our industry and clients.
Sydney also experienced a breadth of projects in her time at RedCloud, ranging from external and internal, even working directly with our Managing Partners to run critical community and client projects. Graduating this Spring from Seattle University, we’re confident she’s well on her way to a career full of success and accomplishments.
We commend them both for their ability to bring value to our team during the pandemic. Read on to hear about their experiences firsthand.
Four years ago, our Managing Partner Brett Clifton stepped up to give back to our community focusing on cause close to his heart by joining the advisory board of the University of Washington Foster School’s Consulting and Business Development Center (CBDC). The CBDC takes higher education one step further with real-life experience for students working on their undergrad degrees or MBA’s, giving them invaluable experience to use when they head into the business world upon graduation. As part of Brett’s leadership of the CBDC, RedCloud consultants have played an active role in the past in judging business plan competitions and mentoring students who are learning about consulting and its real world applications.
