It’s an exciting time to be part of RedCloud and during 2021, we’ve taken a look at all of our practices to see where we can improve and grow. Climate change has been a hot topic this year as we see record-breaking weather patterns in the headlines left and right. Right here in the Pacific Northwest, we’re reminded quite literally of the change as we look out our windows to hazy summer days, our atmosphere left smokey from wildfires, and previously unseen triple-digit high temperatures. It leaves us wondering what we can do - and the truth is, we can ALL do something to make a change. By making small pivots to the way we operate our business, engage with clients and support our team, we’re establishing a commitment to environmental sustainability to do our part. It helps us feel more successful in what we do and it also addresses what is happening on our planet. Increasingly we know our employees, our clients (and their customers) believe that every business should be taking tangible actions to address climate change, so we’re proud to announce our own actions. The commitment? RedCloud will be Carbon Neutral by 2025. In fact, since 2019 we’ve reduced our travel related carbon emissions 76% and energy use by 88%. We’ve achieved this through:
We know this is just the start and look forward to continuing on our sustainability journey to find more ways to reduce the carbon emitted by our operations and the products and services we buy. In addition to embracing our own changes, we also work hard every day to encourage our clients to do the same. By adding our eco-friendly recommendations to their business plans, we embed sustainability into all of our engagements. Let’s keep the ball rolling! Comments are closed.
