 Continuing on with our full year of support to Solid Ground’s Broadview Shelter & Transitional Housing, another exciting day of giving back is in the books. Together with our team, we’re constantly brainstorming ways to help the residents at Broadview. The shelter houses families - mainly mothers and their children - providing a safe haven at a secure location in Seattle if they are experiencing homelessness or need to flee from domestic abuse.
 We’re excited to hear from Puget Sound Business Journal that once again we’ve been listed as on their annual Washington's Best Workplaces roundup of the top 100 businesses for employee satisfaction. It’s a true honor to hear that even given the challenging times of the last year, our employees are proud to call RedCloud home. With a dedication to transparency - and a constant commitment to it during our busiest seasons - we’re thrilled to see that our employee survey results were overwhelmingly positive.
 Congratulations, Rick! Toys for Kids Founder and dear friend of RedCloud, Rick Rizzs was recently named the 425 Citizen of the Year, a well deserved honor! All of us at RedCloud send a HUGE round of applause for all he’s done to support children in our community and specifically the partnership and opportunity he’s afforded to us to make an impact by his side.
 You may have read or heard about our special community project this year, a full year of support to Solid Ground’s Broadview Shelter & Transitional Housing as part of our ongoing dedication to non-profit partners focused on education and empowering the success of local youth. While the program kicked off with our donation of new technology to support remote learning during Covid (tablets, Microsoft Office software and mic headsets), we’re also challenging our team to get creative and continue sharing the love by showing support all throughout 2021. And, we’re thrilled to say that the support continues!
 We’re excited to kick off Q2 with news of RedCloud’s acquisition of BuzzBee, a strategic technology marketing and communications firm based in Seattle. BuzzBee has more than two decades of experience developing strategy and implementing communications and marketing plans for some of the industry's best brands such as Amazon, EMC, Microsoft, Intel, HP, AMD, Concur, adding a strong set of skills and capabilities to RedCloud’s existing offerings.
 Core to who we are, no matter what the world is throwing at us, RedCloud’s community efforts always stay in focus. We believe that a healthy company thrives only when embedded in a healthy community, helping those around us, especially during major times of need. One of our long time community partners, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound (BBBSPS), has continued fostering 1 to 1 “Big” and “Little” relationships even despite the pandemic.
 You may be familiar with our previous work and support for the UW Foster School of Business - but this year marks a new exciting endeavor! The UW Consulting and Business Development Center (CBDC) is holding a Business Management Consulting Program all via Zoom, and RedCloud is excited to help out by providing a team of mentors.

To that end, starting this holiday season and continuing through 2021, on behalf of our clients RedCloud is adopting Solid Ground's Broadview Shelter & Transitional Housing - a safe haven at a secure location for mothers and kids experiencing homelessness.  The holidays are fast approaching and year-end client projects are getting ready for that final push. This time of year also gets us excited about another annual tradition in our work with the young people of our communities. As part of our ongoing work to empower local kids with access to education and technology, we partner with Toys for Kids - an outstanding local organization who helps children of all socioeconomic backgrounds be better prepared for school and life.
 Consultant. A widely used job description with a diverse range of meanings in a rapidly growing industry. More and more companies are seeking to employ the expertise of consultants to bring efficiencies to their projects without the cost associated with new full time employees. This growth of course means an ever-widening landscape of opportunities for professionals who have a bank of skills in their back pockets, even if they’ve never considered moving into a consulting role. |
