10 Minutes with Marco Doni: Principal Consultant

With more than a decade of industry-specific experience prior to joining RedCloud, Marco Doni’s role as Principal Consultant provides us with a savvy veteran who can provide superior client service, while seeking new business opportunities. An initial focus for Marco directly with clients in the area of digital strategy and is already a fantastic fit in RedCloud’s unique culture based on integrity and transparency. Having worked with our Managing Partners in the past, we knew he was a strong fit for our growing team and look forward to all his coming contributions.


RC: Briefly describe your role and how long you’ve been at RedCloud.

MD: I’ve recently joined RedCloud as a Principal Consultant. I am excited to join the RedCloud team, and I’ll be focusing on helping our customers to build and execute their digital transformation strategy. Currently, I’m helping one of our Fortune 500 customer to build a double digit growth plan for the new fiscal year.


RC: What was it like to join RedCloud (onboarding process)?

MD: Going through the on-boarding process at RedCloud was a breeze! Everything was streamlined, well organized, and there is a clear focus on the individual experience. It was really refreshing to meet the dedicated people at RedCloud and have such an easy process.


RC: Given your background and other experiences, what stands out to you with RedCloud?

MD: I really liked the dynamic and flexible work environment, it fosters a positive energy that permeates the day-by-day activities. Everybody is very focused on delivering  on their customer’s expectations while learning new skills, strategies, and deepening industry knowledge. Also, I personally really appreciate the giving back attitude, it is a perfect example of the “walking-the-talk” when it comes to company’s values.


RC: What originally drew you to RedCloud?

MD: I’ve worked with RedCloud Managing Partners Brett Alston and Brett Clifton on previous projects, and always appreciated their integrity and intelligence.  I knew the company would provide the opportunity to work on interesting projects, growth the business and the impact our industry.


RC: Where do you see the future of consulting or the future of RedCloud?

MD: The management consulting industry is evolving and changing rapidly, the change will require us to maintain foundational disciplines like subject matter expertise, customer focus mindset, business excellence, and change management, to name a few. But at the same time, business and revenue models, problem solving approach, resourcing, workforce mobility and delivery models need to change and be further tailored to the customer’s needs. RedCloud is embracing the change and strive to maintain agility while growing the business, it is a great journey to be part of.


RC: Name one piece of technology you couldn’t live without and why?

MD: Access to information and knowledge. I do enjoy the latest cell phone or voice controlled speaker, but if I had to mention what is really exciting,  then I’m looking forward to see the progress in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Blockchain. We are just at the beginning of what the future holds and I personally cannot wait to see what new gizmos will enable us to access information, insights and intelligent data.
