13 Sep RedCloud Volunteer Day with Toys for Kids at Seahawks Beastmode Store
Last month, RedCloud partnered with Toys for Kids for their Back to School, Backpacks and Haircuts event. Toys for Kids and the Holmes Foundation created this opportunity for families to obtain school supplies and fresh haircuts before the start of the new school year. The event took place at the Beast Mode store located in Seattle, which is the franchise of the esteemed running back for the Seattle Seahawks, Marshawn Lynch.
Brand new backpacks filled with school supplies were piled high on tables and handed out to every student who came through the doors of the storefront. Ezell’s Famous Chicken catered and the kids were able to walk around Beast Mode licking the delicious, greasy fried chicken off their fingertips while they waited in line for haircuts from volunteers.
A few Seahawks football players traveled to the store to sign the football jerseys, posters, and helmets that families brought with them. The players even stayed to take a few photos with their excited fans. It was a memorable event for so many and we feel honored to have been able to participate alongside so many incredible volunteers.
At RedCloud, we value the youth in our community and believe that by investing in the younger generation, we are helping to better the future for all. We know how important it is to set kids up for success as they begin their school year and with the help of these organizations, we were able to equip dozens of grade-school and high-school students with the supplies and confidence they need to walk through the doors on their first day of school this fall.
