RedCloud Consulting’s Third Consecutive Feature on Inc. 5000 List for Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America


Last week, the iconic Inc. Magazine released their annual list of America’s fastest growing private companies. This list, dubbed the “Inc. 500/5000,” has become a benchmark across many industries to recognize successful companies of all shapes and sizes. RedCloud is proud and humbled to be listed again amongst our fellow entrepreneurial pioneers. This is our third consecutive year, with a 4-year growth rate of 578%, which lands us at number 584 on the 2018 list. When we launched RedCloud in 2015 to serve the Pacific Northwest business and IT community, we were confident in our solid business approach, but this level of ongoing and consistent growth across the years has been a pleasant surprise for us.


Growth just for growth’s sake doesn’t mean much because just as fast as companies can grow, they can just as quickly shrink or go away. We have learned how to build a sustainable, long-lasting company. We provide our team with a myriad of interesting and rewarding projects, because having happy, engaged, and fulfilled employees is the key to our success. We make a point to pair our client growth with ongoing investments back into our business, people, and infrastructure to continue building out a team of like-minded individuals.


As our Managing Partner Brett Clifton recently said about our people, “we actually must start with the soft skills, not only look at the hard, technical skills, in order to build a team that can effectively find solutions for our clients day after day, month after month, year after year.” As Clifton outlines, we believe the market has responded positively to our firm’s blended approach of transparency and integrity. Our clients appreciate the clear picture of people and processes we put into action to solve their challenges, and our team members appreciate knowing exactly where they stand in relation to current and future projects. We choose not to micromanage our teams, but instead support our consultants with the resources they need to thrive.


Do we aim to continue growing? Absolutely, because growth brings a wider variety of opportunities for our team to apply their skills and allows us to make a deeper impact on our clients and the communities we serve. However, growth for growth’s sake will never dictate our business decisions.
