15 Apr RedCloud Sounds the Horn As Rad Racing NW Starts a New Season of Cycling
Firm sponsors program for active youth promoting responsibility and determination needed to succeed in life
BELLEVUE, Wash. (April 15, 2016) – RedCloud Consulting, a Bellevue-based boutique management-consulting firm, today announced its partnership with and sponsorship of Rad Racing NW, a non-profit, community based, junior cycling development team. Along with financial support to help Rad Racing riders train, attend races and buy and maintain equipment, RedCloud will work directly with Rad Racing leadership providing in-kind consulting services to assist marketing, IT, and project management efforts for the organization. RedCloud’s support will directly impact Rad’s goal to help instill self-confidence, self-respect, respect for others and an overall positive attitude in their riders through solid adult mentorship.
“Rad Racing makes an amazing and direct impact on these young people, encouraging an active lifestyle founded upon respect for themselves and others, fundamentals of our own company culture,” said Brett Alston, Managing Partner of RedCloud. “We believe whole heartedly in the mission of Rad, utilizing sport to drive responsibility and determination – attributes that will serve these young people long into their lives.”
The partnership comes when Rad Racing is sending six young athletes to attend the Subaru Sea Otter Classic, the world’s premiere cycling festival, held April 14-17 in Monterey, California. Rad Racing athletes will ride alongside more than 10,000 athletes from professionals to amateurs in front of more than 65,000 at the festival.
“RedCloud is an ideal community sponsor for us because they go beyond solely financial support to provide hands-on support at our races and the type of back-end business support we frankly won’t get elsewhere,” said Jim Brown, Executive Director of Rad Racing NW. “We’re stoked about a future where our riders continue to thrive thanks to support from RedCloud, opening new doors and opportunities for our athletes.”
Founded in 1998 as the most grassroots of organizations, Rad Racing NW has been a Puget Sound based bicycle racing team for kids aged 10 to 18 since its inception. Rad riders compete in road, mountain bike, track, and cyclocross racing. The program is managed and supported mainly by volunteer coaches and support staff who are trained, licensed and experienced in the USA Cycling program. As of 2014, Rad athletes have won 20 US National Championship titles, and 20 team members have been selected to represent the United States National Team at World Championship events.
“This is just the beginning of our relationship with Rad and their riders. We are glad to find a group we can support over the long-term, whether it’s through build key business processes to increase internal efficiencies, or showing up to a race and provide hands-on volunteer hours,” said Alston.
Building on a 20 year legacy of strong work, RedCloud re-launched in 2015 with a focus on management consulting to service clients based on a set of best practices learned by Managing Partners Brett Alston and Brett Clifton in their time within the industry. RedCloud’s founding principles of integrity and transparency guide the firm’s expansion within the Seattle marketplace, ensuring that clients receive top value, reliability, and service from a team of senior level consultants.
