At RedCloud, community is everything. It’s one of our North Stars, and serves as a guiding value we keep close to our business in all we do. We believe our success is in part due to a healthy, vibrant community in which we operate, and a driver for why we partner with a group of organizations who help children in our region.
While our day-to-day routines are anything but normal, RedCloud’s business is marching along successfully. Our teams are connected virtually, and our clients are receiving the same top-notch service we always pride ourselves on. We love recognizing and welcoming each new face that joins us, so let’s give a round of applause to these newest and highly adaptive employees. If you’re interested yourself in pursuing a position with our team, we welcome you to get in touch.
It’s no doubt that our world here at RedCloud – and frankly everywhere else – has been disrupted like nothing we’ve seen before by the spread of COVID-19 worldwide. Currently in a time of heightened personal and team safety, our consultants and headquarters staff are all working from home, balancing their dedication to family and friends with our collective responsibilities for our clients and peers at RedCloud.
We’re excited to take you behind the scenes with Kara Callahan, a new Learning Program Manager to RedCloud. During her day-to-day, she designs and implements learning solutions for her client with the goal of driving end user adoptions of Microsoft’s 365 suite.
She comes to RedCloud with not only an advanced leadership and operations background, but also with an adventurous side. Just last year, she hiked over 2,000 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail for six months! The skills she learned on the trail, like adapting to change, managing a plan and being optimistic all shine bright each day she sets out to make our clients’ life easier.
Highlighting the unique rituals that get us up and at 'em, racing towards the finish line every day.
Scott Morton has been part of the RedCloud team for several years, he's got a sense of humor and big personality, making him enjoyable for all to be around. He's the first to be featured in this fun series.
What time does your alarm go off? Or do you even need one?
My 1970’s era AM/FM digital alarm clock that I have used since I was 9 years old goes off when it hits 7am. That means it goes off at 6:50 since I set my clock 10 minutes fast. Most days I don’t need an alarm clock and wake up by (the real) 7am.
RC: Briefly describe your new role and what you’re looking forward to about it?
KS: I joined RedCloud as an Account Development Manager which was a new position created for me. During the hiring process, and later, after I joined, I was able to see for myself, RedCloud takes the time to meet and work with candidates and new employees, assessing their strengths and talents so they can find the right fit. I am looking forward to sharing RedCloud with more business leaders in the area and contributing to their growth and my growth along the way.
Despite a perception that you either “have it” or you don’t…public speaking is not a soft skill. Just ask nationally recognized voice coach, and trainer of thousands of professionals Alicia Dara, she would know. She has helped CEOs, managers, and even Presidential candidates find their voice and put it to work. Needless to say, we were thrilled to have her as a guest speaker at our latest Lunch and Learn series event to provide our consultants unique professional development opportunities.
RedCloud’s annual Summer Family and Friends BBQ was held on Tuesday, July 23 at the Novelty Hill Januik Winery. Novelty Hill Januik is a top-rated Washington winery and it was the perfect spot to unwind and celebrate the mid-year mark of 2019 as a team with those that support us along the way.
Recently, and for the 4th year in a row, a team of RedCloud consultants and HQ staff spent a day as elementary teachers for our annual “JA Day” in partnership with Junior Achievement of Washington. JA of Washington is a non-profit with a mission to support and inspire young students to succeed in their future endeavors.
