Always Give Back

Although our everyday work is focused on solving business challenges, we always make time to give back to the communities in which we live and work. This is embedded in our company culture. RedCloud's long-standing partnerships with local organizations provide our team with a variety of opportunities to give back every year.

We’re proud to be involved with our community partners and regularly participate in local events, often lending a hand as volunteers. RedCloud provides support to local non-profits focused on education and seeks out new ways to empower the success of local youth.

Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement - or “JA” as it’s known - is the largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. RedCloud has been a proud partner of JA for years, providing volunteer support for these important, face-to-face opportunities with today’s youth.

JA BizTown is a full-on micro economy brought to life for young students. Through this hands-on learning experience, each student performs a job for the day in the town's offices, retail shops and restaurants, complete with realistic responsibilities and pay.
I loved how serious the kids were about their jobs, their reactions to being 'grownups' were priceless!"

-- Mel Nevala, RedCloud Marketing
RedCloud’s consultants enjoy hands-on mentoring opportunities through two key JA programs: JA Day, an in-classroom teaching held several times throughout the school year at local elementary schools, and JA BizTown, a simulated town in which students connect what they learned in the classroom about work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy to real life.

When volunteering for JA Day, members of the RedCloud team takeover an elementary school classroom and present curriculum from a Junior Achievement program to students for part of the day.

Toys for Kids

The RedCloud team feels fortunate to be connected to Toys for Kids, a nonprofit founded by Mariners broadcaster Rick Rizzs and former center fielder Dave Henderson-- Over 90% of all donations received are used to directly benefit homeless or otherwise disadvantaged children through 8 different programs.

By collaborating with Toys for Kids and similar organizations, we hope to bring local youth the hope, joy, and resources needed to ensure successful, bright futures. Whether RedCloud is donating school supplies or giving away a scholarship, we're dedicated to providing both hands-on and financial support throughout each year.
Each year, RedCloud awards a high school student in the Seattle area a Dave “Hendu” Henderson Educational Scholarship helping students make dreams of college a reality.

“Knowledge is a gift. Not because it’s meant to be something out of privilege, but because one can find it anywhere. Who would I be to end my education if I have the ability to take it even further? I hold this close to my heart. I go to class. I smile.”

   -- Ana, 2020 Scholarship Recipient

UW Foster School of Business

RedCloud provides ongoing support for the University of Washington’s Michael G. Foster School of Business as part of the firm’s broader community efforts focused on education and local youth.

Through this program, our team is able to mentor the next generation of consultants, sharing expertise and observations about the rapidly evolving business world.

We’re honored to serve on the school’s advisory board,  judge the school’s annual Consulting Challenge, and mentor MBA and Undergrad students in the Consulting and Business Development Center (CBDC).

RedCloud consultants regularly mentor students in the program, providing client interaction tips on holding meetings, active listening and feedback skills, and addressing communication challenges. After completing their training, the students help small businesses and nonprofits in under-served communities as junior advisors on 6-8 week consulting projects.
As we created a national network of business schools working with small business, RedCloud helped us develop a brand and a communications strategy in a way that no one else has ever helped us do."
