15 Aug 10 Minutes with Joyce Lyn Villanueva: RedCloud Finance Manager
Meet Joyce Lyn Villanueva, RedCloud’s Finance Manager. She came to us back in 2016 with a laser-focus for finding client results and 10 years of experience from a diverse set of established companies including Boeing, Wyndham, and Progressive. She is a critical leader in keeping RedCloud team running smooth, with strengths in accounting principles, audit processes, compliance, communication, collaboration. We recognize and appreciate the high level of integrity Joyce brings each day and her strong ability to train and facilitate team communication.
With nearly three years under her belt at RedCloud, Joyce has been with our team during an exciting time of rapid company growth and service area expansion. As you can imagine, she has a unique perspective on the RedCloud internal operations, so we couldn’t wait to take a few of her precious minutes in a day to hear more about her experience firsthand.
RC: Briefly describe your role and how long you’ve been at RedCloud.
JLV: As the Finance Manager, I’m responsible for all the accounting duties which consists of processing payments to vendors/suppliers, submitting invoices to our clients, processing payroll for all our employees and managing our books.
RC: What was it like to join RedCloud (boarding process)?
JLV: It felt like a family from the very first day I started. Everyone was welcoming and always willing to lend a helping hand.
RC: Given your background and other experiences, what stands out to you with RedCloud?
JLV: The people keep me excited and engaged. I love being able to talk to the consultants and the people we serve on how they love what we do and what we stand for.
RC: What originally drew you to RedCloud?
JLV: RedCloud was voted one of the fastest (if not the fastest) growing companies in the area and I think that culture and the focus on transparency Brett Clifton and Brett Alston have instilled is an important part of success. RedCloud embodied these values and I knew I wanted to be part of a winning team.
RC: Where do you see the future of consulting or the future of RedCloud?
The consulting industry will continue to grow, specifically within tech, due to the continuous development of new software, tools, and applications to accomplish strategic goals. Demand for the consulting industry will be at an all-time high as companies opt to keep their full-time staff lean and control costs by working almost predominantly with a base of consultants; favoring a workforce that is flexible and nimble enough to adapt to changes in demand.
RC: Name one piece of technology you couldn’t live without and why?
JLV: My phone. I’m always happy to talk for a minute or several minutes. This is usually the best way to reach me.
RC: What are you looking forward to the most this year with RedCloud?
JLV: Seeing the continued success and growth in the people we serve!
