22 Mar 10 Minutes with Emmye Cahn: RedCloud Consulting Sr. Manager
A member of the RedCloud team for more than three years, Emmye applies her deep management consulting expertise to solve our clients’ greatest challenges every day. Her dedication to success shines bright, so we wanted to take a moment to get her thoughts on RedCloud and the future of our industry.
RC: What was it like to join RedCloud?
EC: RedCloud has always been an inclusive, fun community of smart, passionate and driven people. The onboarding process with RedCloud is smooth. There is a solid support system within the company that provides one-on-one access to background information to aid with your project scope and admirable mentors. Preparing our consultants for their first day with a new client is key to our business and we want to ensure that everyone has the tools they need to succeed.
RC: Given your background and other experiences, what stands out to you with RedCloud?
EC: I find that RedCloud stands out in many ways: leadership, team and passion for the community. RedCloud’s leadership and the team they’ve built are both strong. They are a group of diverse professionals who have impactful relationships with their clients and provide excellent services across many industries. Secondly, the organization has a history of giving back to the local community through volunteer hours and financial support.
More than anything, we are a family of intensely passionate and dedicated people who don’t take ourselves too seriously! Passion drives our desire to be great – in and out of the office. When I am at the RedCloud office there are many moments of rogue laughter, great music and focused white-boarding sessions. So many challenges can be championed through passion, drive and laughter.
RC: What originally drew you to RedCloud?
EC: Absolutely it was the leadership team. Brett Alston, Brett Clifton and Scott Ekman were the pioneers for what RedCloud has become today. Coming to RedCloud, I knew I would be joining a group of highly respected consultants – not only for the quality of work but also for the quality of the relationships each consultant brings to each project.
RC: Where do you see the future of RedCloud?
EC: I see RedCloud continuing to grow within Microsoft as well as spreading its wings regionally. The depth of talent that our consultants bring is being recognized in many industries and companies. We will be a force to be reckoned with in the growing Pacific Northwest economy.
RC: Name one piece of technology you couldn’t live without and why?
EC: My Smartphone, of course! It serves me in my work life, my personal life, has endless access to podcasts and music – a must on long runs and rides! Right now, I’m obsessed with the Finding Mastery podcast with Michael Gervais and my favorite Spotify channels: The Black Keys, The Funky Meters, and Chet Faker.
RC: What are you looking forward to the most this year with RedCloud?
EC: RedCloud’s continued growth into new organizations in philanthropy, public, corporate, private and NGO (non-governmental organization) sectors. I believe that businesses are increasingly recognizing the value of resourcing consultants as a part of their core organizational structure and strategy. Consulting provides expert resources that allow for organizations to plan, project, expand and contract at a more controlled rate. I am very excited about the future!
